The dome of the West Virginia State Capitol - designed by architect Cass Gilbert - is an enduring symbol and point of pride for West Virginians both at home and abroad. This view of the Capitol as seen from the southern vantage point also includes Fred Torrey’s statue Lincoln Walks at Midnight.

Moonlight glimmers over the golden dome of the WV State Capitol in this pen and ink interpretation of what is most likely the most famous and iconic building in the Mountain State.
